Fair shout to Gerrard, Ballack, Beckham

That was a nice thing for them to do, go and play footy with the kids, bet it made there day.

The only recognisable player i've played against is Michael Carrick. Our school was playing his. Oh, just remembered Michael Bridges too (if you remember him).

Thats incredible!

Very nice of them tbh.

I seen Joe calzaghe the other day at my B&Q, people were asking for autographs and he was abruptly telling them no, hes fed up of doing them, then went to the burger van close by, demanded tea and a bacon butty, no please or thank you.

Just goes to show.

Hope he keeps downing the bacon butties and gets outta shape and Kessler exposes him for fighting 90% trash for years.

my parents just got back from a trip there, they got off the plane landing on st.Marys to see Beckham getting on a plane back to the mainland....good show by the lads, Gerrard and that having a kick about, top stuff...

Just waiting on the last few of yesterday, then i'll upload them all to a web album

Patrick Viera was there yesterday, and very kindly signed a lot of Czar (gig rowing) tops for us to auction for the rebuilt fund.

Pooseman - your family holiday on St Marys?

:D I like Calzaghe myslef, being a local sportsman, but I dont know why, I also hope he gets his ass whooped too :D

OP: Pics of Pele please!

Shame Ronaldo wasn't there to teach them a thing or two, I imagine living on a small island diving is a good thing to know. ;)

Even though, they would have been told to play football with the local kids, make a good impression, its still great of them to do so.

Some players would have just been stuck up about it and refused.
