Said a local customer of mine on the phone today....

Brought it back home, wired it up and indeed it would not go beyond post.

Opened it up and was quite shocked :S

Might explain a few things! hdd died too and system was overheating!

Dustiest PC I have ever seen personally tbh!

I'm afraid I've seen much much worse. I had to clean 6 PCs in the furniture shop where I worked. I should have taken pictures. There were several spiders in them with some of them covered in spiders webs and the amount of dust was unbelievable. All of them around 5-6 years old.

god knows a few of mine may have got that bad... as for a dust proof case so far my NZXT Zero is doing a very good job can't say i've seen any in it yet about 2 months gone

Had one a bit like that come into work!

The heatsink for the CPU was so full of dust no air was actualy passing over the aluminium - as a consequence it was ROASTING HOT to the touch! :eek:

Here's a before and after shot...

The worst bit is when you start dislodging the dust and breathing it in!

My sister's PC looked like that a few weeks ago.

Built with Windows 98, now runs XP not opened since 2001. Very dusty.....got asthma, had to stop and let her clean it out it was so bad :O

Try working in the IT department of a pottery manufacturer. Our PC's based on the factory floor are full to the brim of dust a lot of the time, vile, filthy and not great for your lungs either!
