presumably you mean an mATX cube/SFF type system as Shuttles are proprietary form factor & mATX mobos won't fit ...

If so you probably want a G33 based mobo like the Asus P5K-VM or Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2

How good a clocker is the Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2? I've been thinking of getting rid of my Abit AW9D-MAX and going to a SFF based system.

Hmmm will have to see how much i could shift my AW9D-Max for then as i really been wanting to go for a simple SFF for ages...

I've got the Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD in my MediaPC which seems to overclock my e1240 to 2.4ghz with no problem but im not sure if it could handle my E4300 @ 3.3ghz.

Yeah, it's between the P5K-VM and G33M-DS2R, the F-I90HD can be a bit tetchy with RAM.

The P5K-VM does have 1:1 memory divider on all Core 2 processors whereas the DS2R is missing it on the 1066FSB processors (IIRC?).

DS2R doesn't have the 1:1 option for 200MHz FSB processors (ie where you need it most if you're overclocking). The lowest it goes is 1.66:1.

Just get cheap 8500+ ram then you don't have to worry about the 1:1 on any board :)

I've got a Q6600 in the G33M-S2 at 3.4 24/7 no problem with cheapo OcUk 8500+ ram

You don't have a 200MHz chip though. If you're running an E2xxx chip and you've got RAM that can do 600MHz (and not many does!) the most you can get out of it is 360MHz. That will almost certainly be the limit of you're overclocking, not the CPU.

I just bought a couple of ECS P31T-M boards for an mATX upgrade at work and they're mental value for money. OK, I bought 4, so I got them at a discount, but they're about £35 Incl. and I've got them all running E2140's at 333MHz, which maybe isn't a mega-overclock, but 2Gb Corsair Value RAM, the E2140 and the motherboard came in at under £100 incl. VAT and delivery each. And they all run happily at 2.66GHz. Shame they're buzzy as hell at that with the stock cooler on. I think I'll have to de-clock them as there is no way the office mafia will allow that sort of racket:rolleyes:

As a few people have suggested, you can't go wrong with the Gigabyte G33 based boards. I have around 10 machines using these boards (From Core2Duos up to Core2Quad) and they all perform fantastically. No issues here what so ever!
