Shows sites from WW2 as they are today. I have watched the site for years and it gets updated every couple of months. The other thread remembered me to post it. Enjoy:

Btw: the germans invaded Russia due to bad intelligence. They were informed that they only had a few more divisions available than the germans had and believed that those divisions were inferior anyway. Germans attacked with nearly everything they had (approx 120 divisions). It wasnt until the end that it was discovered that the russians probably had more like 800 divisions!

99.99% sure that this site has been posted before. ;)

But non the less I didnt bookmark it and now is my chance. Thanks Spit. :)

Thanks for the link, enjoy reading such sites. I like searching for the U-Boats which were sank, some of them unknown at the time until Nazi documents when obtained revealed which B-Boat was where, which was then cross referenced with Allied documents.

I don't get it

That is a great pic.

it was me that posted it a fair few months back. Thanks for reminding us about it though.... great site!

Freaky how little some of these places have changed, in lots of cases its just missing flags.

Wonder how much was spent on making flags and swastika emblems during hitlers time, must have been a ton of cash just for those alone.

I was just thinking that myself. Where and how did they make the vast array of flags and emblems?? They are everywhere! I must admit though, it does look good!

Very good site, I love learning about stuff like this, thanks for posting it!

What I would like to know is, how did the Nazi powers manage to build so many installations, offices and major building installations in such a short space of time. There were so many that I just didnt know about. Where did the money for all of them come from?

A lot of the building, looked much nicer (without all the nazi emblems) than their modern replacements, or the state which they now find themselves in.

Its also amazing how Werner Von Braun's use of slave labour was overlooked when the Americans wanted someone to build rockets for them. Thats a whole other subject however.
