What did i drink?

Was at an Indian last night. Finished the meal drunk a good 8 pints, and then we moved onto shots. I asked for absinthe as i love it, they don't have it

So i go, well whats the strongest liqueur you have. He pulls out this dusty bottle of old French stuff :/ was 51% so i have a shot, it was a brown/orange colour and tasted a lot like brandy, probably was, just wondering if any experts can confirm?

My friend also had it with me, she said it was horrible lol i didn't mind i got her to pay for it

i then went onto sambuka :| boring i know, but it tastes ok

I'm not a big fan of lager with curries anymore. I end up spending the whole night burping.

Yep, sounds like Benedictine (which is a type of Cognac I think) or Cognac.

One point though - you drunk 8 pints during your meal? Say, with slow service and waiting etc to spread it over 2 hours that's a pint every 15 minutes, without allowing any time for all these shots. Were you really thirsty or something?

Benedictine it is, i remember the little wax like stamp in it now

as for the bloke that wonders how i know how much i drank, I'll let you into a little secret....i was sobre when i bought 8 568ml cans from a shop and i snuk them into the Indian(which means i actually had 9 pints, as i had to buy a pint to get a glass so i could drink it without them kicking me out!), as they charge £3 for 440ml can with a glass :eek:

my shot was £2.50 :eek:

all together i spent £30, not too bad going i don't think for a good night out
