2900XT to 8800GT

No. Just use that money and crossfire that 2900 :D. Hmmm, tell you what, it just so happens that I'm going to be selling my card :p.

Joking of course :). GT will rock your Anti Aliasing world man!!!.

i have checked the benchmarks but just wondering if it is a sound financial decision really?

will the new GTS be even better than the GT?

No way - wait for the GTS first to see if that's a better option, then decide.

If you're worried about the value of your 2900 dropping, sell it now and get a piece of crap to tide you over, which is what I did.

Good advice if you can go a little while without gaming "How it's meant to be played" :D.

Out of interest. What card are you running whilst waiting Vertigo?.

I currently have a Sapphire 2900XT 512MB.

Is it worth me swapping for the GT?

I recently got the Sapphire 2900Pro 512MB, and thought about going for an 8800GT, but the price loss on the sale of the Pro just didn't warrant some extra performance on the GT (for me anyway), so I still have my 2900 Pro. :)

You're a week late so not sure how much you can get for your 2900XT tbh. I flogged mine a few days before the 8800GT release and got £160 for it. If you can sell yours for near this price then it's worth it.
