is PES2008 on Xbox 360 choppy like the PS3 version?

Just had my mate come over yesterday with his PS3 so we could try out PES08 on my new HDTV.

However the game is slightly choppy during gameplay, and very choppy during replays. Kinda of unbelievable for this 'next-gen' console that it was this bad!

I'm gonna pull the trigger on an Xbox 360 soon and was wondering if the game had these issues?

Cheers.

From what I've played of SP on the 360, gameplay is absolutely fine but replays and cut scenes still suffer from stuttering

360 gameplay is fine, no slow down and no little skips like the demo.

But replays are choppy.

I've played about 300+ games now on the 360 version and it's perfectly smooth. The replays make my eyes feel like they are out of focus.

Using the slow mo replay video function is fine though. I pretty much gave never used the initial replay feature anyway. I always used to skip it to play with the cam angles.

I bought the game for the ps3 and it was awfull.
I took it back to my retailer and got it changed for the 360 version.
The 360 version is not perfect but its miles better than the game on the ps3.
If you look around other forums you will find a lot of ps3 owners are totally disapointed with the game.

been playing this quite a lot the past couple of days and have been enjoying it. no choppyness during play as has been stated but the "cut-scenes" and replays have seriously bad slowdown.

Replays slow down almost to the point of being useless. Often they key second of action you wanted to see will be turned into a slideshow and you lose track of the ball. Not a huge deal though.
Has anyone noticed the massive slow down when a player comes back on to the pitch after receiving treatment? That's a really annoying one as it is during gameplay.

I haven't had a hint of slowdown in the game apart from those replays. Even when players come back on, goal kicks, pens etc not a sniff of a problem.

Weirdly I did suffer slight slowdown in game at some points, or at corners or busy moments with my old 360 which died yesterday. Replaced it with a new HDMI one and that problem seems to have dissapeared.

This is not a good sign then.

Just got PES2008 for the PS3. The console should arrive on monday. I just hope the game is'nt poor then its Fifa 2008 for me then.

I was playing the demo [PS3] last night, now I don't know about the full game but the demo plays fine for me, the replays are jerk-o-vision but the actual game seems ok.

another ps3 game that suffers from frame rate issues

Or, another PS3 game suffering from sloppy development. How on Earth games make it to the shelves in this state is simpy astonishing. Do some studios simply fail to employ QA people?

hmmm i was so gonna buy a PS3 for PES alone, looks like i might go 360 now esp as there are loads of other games which i hear aren't as good on PS3 like EA's Skate

what a let down :(

It seems like they're both bad ports (well 360 to a lesser extent) from their last-gen counterpart consoles. I've actually been tempted to get Fifa because at least they put the effort in to bring in something new to their gameplay and graphics.
