Play Crysis in DX 10 Mode Under XP - works

its not hard tbh...you just create a partition and stick the dvd in.

but dont go by just that even though it is that simple lol.
best google on it first incase ppl have encountered problems so your prepared.
 
yeah xp then vista...i know my reply is very late lol.
havent tried vista then xp but im guessing xp would probably write over vista and make it unbootable.
 
I could noticeable a slightly deeper range of colour in the DX10 images but that was it. If we could get a bit more contrast to the DX9 hacked output then it'd be pretty much identical.
 
Whatever hacks / workarounds are produced for XP, Vista is, for better or worse, the future. Can you be bothered to hack every game that comes out just to get fake DX10 effects to work in XP? If yes, then you have more patience than me. If no, get Vista and make the leap of faith.

I just tried something. I copied 35GB of MP3s from my main drive to my backup drive. I then deleted the new folder. I noticed nothing wrong with the process - it was very quick and simple, so either they've fixed the problem or I am just lucky and don't have it.

A problem I did have though related to deleting the quicklaunch shortcut of an uninstalled application. When I right clicked on said shortcut, it took about thirty seconds for the menu to appear! This problem has now disappeared though, presumably with one of the recent hotfixes.

This also happens on WinXP. If the shortcut target no longer exists Windows will go on a search for it for a while, until it realises it is well and truly gone forever :)
 
Im about to install vista, whats this copy bug. Disappearing files?


I get that on xp desktop, didnt realise that was why. Best to just drag and drop into the bin
