Crucial RMA

try few months..... its a known problem with Micron stuff.

My kits were running fine and dandy a couple weeks ago, and now one is pretty terminaly dead.

doesnt help that it is the most popular stuff at the moment too.

It's been happening since last December, when the first Anniversary kits were overclocked to death. Generally, they're OK at stock, but as almost 100% of them are overclocked, they do seem to die a bit.

The important thing is though that Crucial-Lexar just replace them for you, and reasonably fast too.

i had one pair DOA...RMAd it and so far the new kit has been working fine. Then bought another 2gb and that kit is working fine as well.....then bought another kit for a friend and his are running fine too.

All are PC2 5300 Ballistix....crossing my fingers hoping I won't have any problems

Ive just gone and bought another set of these......ironically because my other set fails so much i need a compatible second set to be there when one set fails.

Although i hate paying for it all.

i have the ballistix 667 stuff and havent had a problem yet (touch wood) and have had a 100% clock out of them, altho i have heard that overvolting the ballistix can cause problems

NICE! over 1300MHz? That's pretty impressive, what voltage @ timings with that?

I can hit 1200Mhz on 5-5-5-15 and 2.15V with my Anniv set, but 1300Mhz+ is pretty special.
