It's one sided for a very good reason tho :) because the 360 is the best console for gaming. But you do your best to balance it out :D
 
I'm really surprised at this thread, I find this forum to be incredibly one-sided towards the xbox and have often wondered if there wasn't an organised element to it. Especially considering that this is a hardware oriented forum and there can be no doubt that the PS3 is more interesting hardware-wise.

I know there will be plenty of comments about lack of games etc but most people (myself included) probably play a game a month on average and so are not particularly put off by this.
 
But if one console genuinely was better than the other, surely an unbiased, neutral forum would be tilted towards the superior platform.

Just a thought..

Surely it seems very pro xbox because of it having the better games so far this gen and therefore it actually being popular. Kinda like the PS2 last gen. I'm sure it is proportional to the number of owners in this forum rather than bias against other consoles.
 
O don't think it's got ANYTHING to do with fanboyism or one-sided arguments.

Last-Gen consoles, Sony won hands down. Nintendo came out worse, Microsoft second.

This time round Microsoft and Nintendo clearly have the better console and Sony are behind.

That's life. Where there are winners there'll also be losers.

Next time round Sony may take the lead again, maybe Nintendo.

Really, who cares so long as you're having fun!

This is exactly it - how can anyone say this with so much conviction at this point in time? The xbox 360 has sold what, 12 million? in 2 years? that's really quite poor when you consider it had a year headstart. The hardware is also very poor, too loud, too unreliable.

Within a few months the PS3 will have more great games than any normal person will have time to play, combined with solid hardware, free and flexible online (good for MMOs, independent developers etc), DVD playback that rivals £500 DVD players, Blu-Ray playback, guaranteed hard drive support for games, Wi-Fi out of the box, and the soon to be 3rd biggest game development company in the world supporting it exclusively (i.e. sony).

The PS3 will be here in 5 years churning out great games, I highly doubt the same can be said of the xbox 360.

Just an alternative opinion;)

who cares, i want to play games right now, who cares about 5yrs time, lol, by then i expect we will have MS new console, in the meantime i shall enjoy all my multi platofrm games on my 360 right now and any Sony inhouse games as and when.

the PS3 puts out 1080p graphics which means yes it put out better grphics than a PC and it has the power to do more but they cant because there isn't a tv higher than 1080p

I honestly didn't think people that stupid existed.
