But you'd need one hell of a graphics card to power a game at that res.

I think these are aimed more at image editing though?

I don't think a single card could cut it for games. Would need the top-of-the-range SLi gear set up I would have thought.

More like a quadro FX, FireGL card, or 3D labs card.

Ultra Hi-res monitors have existed for years but only medical, oil, top end graphics call for them. I think the cards mentioned earlier can run 2 screens at full res but games are never intended for its use so no point worrying about it.
