confusion over sythe fan

Going by the price it's for one.

I think the picture is a 'stock' image, but it is dare I say misleading.

They're well recommended and move a lot of air but whilst they may well be no worse than others they are not exactly quiet.

OK provided you are not wanting a really a quiet PC.

nope i actually like a pc to sound like a battle ship haha

however if there are any cheaper ones that are near the same quality feel free to give me suggestions :)

Fans gather a bit of cult status and people rave about the latest offerings.

You should get a few recommendations, you've just got one.
You will be able to get better value than the Scythe for your needs.

Amongst the better fans some may be slightly noisier than others but that obviously isn't going to be a problem for you.
If you check this Forum over the last week or two you should find one or two posts where people ask ‘which is the best fan’.

If you choose from the recommended/currently popular ones you should be able to take your pick.

How much difference there will be between the better ones is debatable.
There are some which you will want to stay clear of but then they won’t get much support or be even mentioned.

Edit: Try an advanced search for 'Fans' - in the "title" not "search entire posts" you will find quite a few.

sweet il give that a go i just want them to whack on the geminII to cool my cpu so im not too fussed about noise or appearance so long as they do the job, im still a bit worried as to whether the geminII will fit in the zen case if anyone knows that would be great

If you want very cheap fans that are still highly rated consider Yate Loons. OcUK doens't stock them if I remember correctly.

Personally I'd go with the Sharkoon silent eagels or wait for the new Scythe Kaze series to hit the UK.

If you don't care about noise consider some Sunon maglev fans (which are very noisy). No personal experience but I've read they're very highly regarded.
