Well coming home along M27 tonight in slowish moving traffic, brake quite hard, and guy behind doesnt brake quite as hard, luckily saw him coming and eased off the brake, doesnt appear to be any damage, but going to get it looked at tomorrow at vauxhall whilst its up on the ramps, hopefully get it sorted quite quickly. Bloody inconvienience though.

thats a shame mate :( ive got a habbit of paying more attention to the people behind me then infront since i was hit lol

were you injured?

Nah no injuries, couldnt of been going more than 15 mph, and I was partially rolling still. Will see what happens at Vauxhall tomorrow.

No. I have this thing called morals, and they don't extend to insurance fraud.

Funny thing morals, its very easy to claim to have them when not in the situation, its a complete other thing to stick to them when the times comes.

Myself, whilst I agree in a perfect world it wouldn't happen, in this one its a case of get what you can if you can.

I was in a car when it was shunted from behind. I had a bad neck for a few days. It went away. Not at any stage did I think about making a claim for injuries. Stuff happens, get over it.

If you are genuinelly injured, you cant get to work, etc etc, fair enough. But to lie is wrong.

Unnecessary claiming puts all premiums up. Great idea.

Hope you get your motor sorted SoliD. What the person behind pretty close prior to you breaking?

Is it really that hard for you to believe that there are people a bit more honest than you are? Well I hate to break it to you, but thankfully there are.

Fairly close, but not excessively, will phone up the guy tomorrow see if he wants to go through insurance or not, as I dont foresee it being stupidly expensive to get it sorted as long as there is no hidden damage.

I'm with Fox on this, we were rear-ended in our Audi (leaving motorway @ Exeter services) - loads of people reckoned we should go for whiplash and my neck genuinely hurt the day after. But it wasn't proper whiplash and claiming for it would have been wrong.

I got knocked off my bike and people were genuinely gobsmacked when I didn't claim for all kinds of injuries, new set of gear and everything. I didn't get hurt and none of my kit was even scratched

Purely depends on if you've been brought up to be a money grabbing, insurance fraud kind of guy I suppose.

i scraped the side of a van in jan 07, dent on door and sliding door, maybe £500's worth of damage, the guy claimed £5500 in damages/losses ect for 2 small dents, i hate people like that, he may think hes good bragging to his other chavy van driver mates in the pub, but it's just putting the price up for new customers. i was hit in sept 07 by an IDIOT who caused me genuine injury which i have to go to physio therapy once a week for, so yes i will be sueing and for as much as possible tbh.

You were hit at about 15mph if that IIRC, also there was hardly any sort of damage. Im really failing to understand how you need to go to therapy for it. Pull the other one Danny LOL. :p
