I recently became aware of a service called "verified by visa" after trying to purchase some parts for my system upgrade from overclockers, to no avail.
I was stopped and had to enter a verified by visa password & such to allow my purchase to go through, i even tried the "carry on without using vbv service" but that didn't work so i had to call them up & listen to a 20minute loop of opera music & a voice saying the same old poo they always do.
5 days & 3 phone calls later i still can't purchase what i want & to make thingz worse the items i wanted were on offer & now they have gone back up in price
, i am absolutely fuming with Abbey for this as this isn't my fault & all i wanted to do was use my card online to make a simple transaction.
I guess it's a good thing that this service is in place because it stops criminals from stealing ya money but on the other hand waiting 20+ minutes to speak to someone about it 3 days in a row is a complete joke.
The service should be more efficient & should be similar to the e-banking service where you set ya own PW & have total control over it yourself.
thank you abbey for costing me about £10 & thank you abbey for costing me even more for the phone calls!
