Yay or Nay...? [watch/jewellery thread]

I'm 27 and it is vomit inducing to me.

i might just buy it for that reason.
You see these days it has to be in your face. Breitling, Gucci, Seiko etc are elegant watches which i think look better on middle aged plus chaps (no offence). Elegant is nice but like i said thats not what i want. I wnat something fashionable

thing is though, its not exactly so in ** face, that it looks good. it's only really subtle bits of yellow and red, and it does look cheap, and imo Breitling's look well slick, but i couldn't afford one lol.

edit: OT, why is ** (u-r) blocked?

depends on your concept of Fashionable , certainly large watches on straps are the in thing at the moment

among watch folks the "in" watches are most Panerais , JLC master compressor and Amvox series , AP ROO

Here was me thinking that you, the OP, had at least a smattering of taste and decency by owning a Lamborghini Gallardo, but that watch is just plain hideous!

The basic idea of a Chrono with 24hr time disc for world time zones along with a leather strap as in the OP is similar to one I have, the basic idea is fine it's just that the D+G just doesn't seem to come together properly ( before we look at movements etc )

how it should be done ;)

Fashions come and go. £500-800 is pretty hefty for something that's going to devalue at that kind of rate. I think even if I did like that watch, it would lose its 'wow' difference factor to me after a year or so of wearing it.
If you like the watch and can afford to splash away the money on something you might only wear for a few months then by all means go for it.
