I thought it was 7 in 8 for Rooney and 7 in 7 for Ronaldo?

depends if you count the Rooney goal against Arsenal - to my mind he had a crucial , although scuffed, touch (although I know currently its being called an own goal)

Glad to hear Vidic is signed up until 2012, crucial first team member

(hopefully Pique isnt loaned out/sold as rumours persist, as he played very well last night even apart from the goal)

I'd be gutted if Pique goes... I doubt he will, Fergie said recently that he's got no intention of Pique leaving Old Trafford, and that he's a big part of United's future.

Rossi's been brilliant for Villarreal since signing for them, played 10 games so far this season and scored 7 goals.

I do hope we resign him in the years to come, I'm sure given time and patience he will be brilliant in the Premiership.

The loan to Newcastle didn't do Rossi any good.

He needed to be loaned out to a club in the Premiership where he would gain proper first team experience at that level. Sheffield United, Watford, West Ham (etc) last season would have been perfect for him.... But heyho.

**** sake. Everytime he gets going something happens.

This will really do us some harm. Fergie won't start Saha (he said only today he see's him as a sub 90% of the time now), which means we're back to how we was at the beginning of the season, with Giggs behind Tevez which just didn't work.

It makes me laugh really that Rooney is sometimes described as tough as nails and can come back from any injury he gets quicker than most people would be able to.

Thats all well and good... but I'd prefer it if he didn't get injured quite so often myself ;)

It looks like he'll miss:
Blackburn (Home), Bolton (Away), Sporting Lisbon (Home) and Fulham (Home).... Possibly out for Derby (Home) as well.

Saha will start if he's fit... I don't see Fergie risking the run we're building by going back to a 4-5-1 situation again.

The big game next months is Liverpool at Anfield on the 16th of December... now as long as nobody mentions the word 'Ankle' around Rooney once he's back fit... we should be at full strength... hopefully...

to be fair, looking at our next 5/6 games, the blackburn game is the one that may cos problems...

bolton, fulham, derby and lisbon should not cos us any issues rooney or no rooney..

Bolton may not be a given win. They've managed to hold their own against top clubs this season, despite the fact they're second from bottom... but it should be a win, just not an easy one.

I think everyone fully expects a win against Fulham and Derby.

Lisbon will probably just be a runout, we already qualified and just want a win or a draw really to keep the momentum going.

Blackburn have won 7 of their last 8 games, they've only lost two games so far this season one in the UEFA Cup and one in the Premeirship (Portsmouth)... they drew 0-0 against Chelsea and drew 1-1 with Arsenal.

Although now I've said all that we'll probably have a 3-0 romp :p

two choices for Sunday I think - back 5 choose themselves really

VDS (depending on toe)

Brown Rio Vidic Evra

Ronny Owen Anderson Giggs

Tevez

Saha

Otherwise same back 5 with:

Ronny OH Carrick Giggs

Anderson

Tevez

Of course Giggs could be moved more into the centre at the expense of Carrick and having Nani out wide- but if anything Giggs would be played in the hole (which as stated above doesnt work too well)

Other option is 4-5-1 which I hope we dont use but would look more like:

Ronny OH Giggs Anderson Nani

(sorry but no space for sentimentality for OShea or Fletcher here)

Saha will start if fit. Fergie was just giving an indication of what he considers his first choice front line without coming across as too harsh. Maybe this could be a good thing for Tevez, a chance to establish himself with another frontman so still playing 2 up front as he is comfortable with but with Rooney out he gets to be the main man for a while.

Vidic could be held back by Serbia due to a delayed game (because of snow I believe) for their Euro qualifier later this week, meaning he amy well miss our weekend match away to Bolton - will be a bit of a loss but Im sure Pique is upto it with Rio beside him

IF Hargreaves plays on Wednesday it seems unlikely his knee will be upto a 2nd match in 3 days but Im sure Anderson /Carrick combi will work pretty well

Lets just prey the man of glass can get through the next two or three weeks at least
