hi guys,
was out this aft, when some guy pulled out in front of me, i braked, locked wheels up and went strait into him, was a wet greasy road too, i was doing exactly 30 i remember locking at the speedo abit b4, i was going strait on, just set off at some lights actually and he was turning right coming from the other way. the force of the impact pushed him back a fair bit too

anyway he's denying it, hes even denying the fact he was turning right. dunno what insurance will say about that....

been on phone to insurers.. they've said hes not insured but will investigate. doubt a 57 plate has no insurance?

the pass air bag smashed the window, but the police think i had a passanger who was'nt wearing a seatbelt, who run off after the crash  they've put that in a report which is gonna make me look very dodgy :( also there is 3 witness's who didnt see anything but heard the skidding then a bang, dont think that will help me much.

only got the car on saturday too...

both air bags are out, and the radiator is shot, its also lost all its oil, probably knacked the engine because the copper drove it out the way. it was only a £3000 car but i think it will cost around £2000+ to fix it.

it was 320D SE

Why do they think you had a passenger?

Was it an old fellow in the bimmer?

they think i had a passanger because of the broken window, if you look at the pic, it actually looks like someone's head did hit it.

guy was about 30 ish from cheshire, propably had no local knowledge

Damn, is that Morris Lane? Hope it all works out for you, doesn't look good from what you've said though :(

yeah it is morris lane, i only live up the road :(

do you mean it doesnt look good for me from an insurance point of view??

Depends if they are traffic police or not. I would guess traffic would have much more experience with accidents, where as the normal policeman wouldn't :?:

Wouldnt the so called "passenger" have it the airbag then? Be a bit pointless having them if you still hit the windscreen?Plus the Police can DNA the bags i believe. No DNA no passenger.

What with the police report and the fact you've ended up right on his side of the road I think you'll be lucky to win this one. :(

Damn least you are ok.

I think he might have insurance it could be that it is new and takes time to update. If the police have said that you will just have to argue with facts your way out of it, this is the problem with accidents no one ever admits when they are wrong.

they were not traffic police, just your average 'big headed' coppers in a van.

i wish i bought a car with ABS :(

Why would you say that, it all depends on the angle of the road, the speed, the OP said he was doing 30mph, hitting another car can push it a fair way!
