So it's half six and I'm still waiting for BT to migrate me from Eclipse to Be Unlimited. What time is the window they might make this change, or did Mr BT engineer not bother to get out of bed?

How are you expecting to know when its being done? Have you setup the new details on your router and connected it up?

Did you get an ETA date on this? Chances are the wonderful guys at B.T. are still hungover from the previous night ... best giving the other side of the world a call.

Um, give it some more time it should get a little better in the following days, first time I connected I got about the same as I do now.

If it's like this still in a weeks time goto the BeSpeed (I think) seciton on thier forums and post your stats, they'll help you.

Attenuation is roughly based on the actual physical length of the line between you and the exchange. Factor into that maybe some aluminium instead of copper, dodgy joints.. But overall it looks like you have a long line.

Yeah but your line could still take a messed up route to your house. What sync rate did you get with Eclipse?

True. With Eclipse I got about 1.8/.04. After cleaning up the line by disconnecting the pointless wires and getting rid of some un-needed extensions I've brought the SnR right down to 6dB but it hasn't made any difference to the attenuation. Speeds are up to 3.3/09 though.
