Looking on the net the ABIT IX38-QuadGT, X38 is now in stock in several places in the UK.

just wondering who is going to go with this X38 solution now ?

;) I think I am going down a similar route...buy main / core itmes the best I can afford, so case [Akasa Eclipse or Silverstone TJ09], PSU [Enermax Galaxy 850W modular ], HDD [500GB Spinpoint], and either opt for solid but cheap Mobo & CPU / Ram or go for the best X38 DDR3 board and wait for Penryn chips in 2008

Anyone got any Idea of what DDR2 memory is compatable with this mobo ??
I have tried the Abit site but no joy !!

Is this basically the same set up as the Abit IP35 Pro ? And will have similar rock solid behaviour with the same ram as that board ?

it looks very similar to the IP35 layout so I wouldn't be surprised if it's heavily based on it (as the IP35 Pro was on the AB9 QuadGT).
It's just too new for feedback yet but no doubt Nelly will be setting up 1 of his famous official threads.

It does tell u on the abit site:confused:

4 X 240-pin DIMM sockets support max. memory capacity 8GB
Supports Dual channel DDR2 1066/800/667/533 Un-buffered Non-ECC memory

Im thinking about getting one of these. But i definitly want to c a couple of reviews first.

lol, not the information I was after...I was loking for the recommended or verified memory list.....I know the speed and type of memory it supports, but I would like to know exactly what brands, models have been verified and certified for it, i.e. GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) ;)
