Just got my new very blue P35C-DSR3 mobo and have hit problem 1 already.

The mobo has 4 fan connections:-

CPU - 4 pin
SYS FAN 1 - 3 pin
SYS FAN 2 - 4 pin
PWR FAN - 3 Pin

The two 120mm case fans I have bought only have 3 pin connectors, and the PSU has no fan connector.

Is it ok to connect one of the case fans to the PWR_FAN output?

I assume (maybe incorrectly) that the 3 pin fans are not speed adjustable but the 4 pins are?

thanks

Its just a Fan Header at the end of the day, but its marked PWR as in PSU (POWER SUPPLY), as some have a single wire from them that can plug into the Mobo to read the PSU's FAN(s) RPM (speed).

You can plug it in anywhere, just means the if Bios/Windoes App's labels then it will be wrong.
