Carmageddon remakes?

There was a couple of racers I approached 'properly', usually ones where for one reason or another it was hard to waste opponents (typically due to a lot of water).

Most of the tracks however it was actually pretty hard to stay on course and do the checkpoints.

If there's one game crying out for another sequel it is Carma. TDR2000 was a huge let down due to harsh timelimits and powder-puff collisions, and that was like 7 years ago now. I guess the only problem would be getting the game past the censors what what all the recent hype over GTA, Manhunt et al.

Not a game, but find a copy of the 80's B flick Death Race 2000- That's where Carmageddon nicked the whole concept from (Few minor tweaks, but instantly recognisable).
Watchable film too :p

I have already posted the link to the trailer several posts up :p.

I don't follow Youtube links ;)
Plus, I get bonus points for naming the movie in my post!

Will it run on XP/Vista?

Both carma 1 and 2 (in both hw and software modes) run on xp on my old lappy, but that's a p3 600 mhz + 8mb rage + 192 mb ram thing so I dunno.

Carma 2 runs on my 6800GS on main pc but depends on drivers in hardware mode (a lot of drivers make it crash b4 launching), software mode always works but then it looks worse as carma 1 so no point in playing it like that imo.
Didn't try carma 1 on my current pc.

When I worked for SCi I held the Carmageddon 1 gold disk, found it with a bunch of other masters - even though it was just the dvd casually spammed with some black marker pen it felt good! :D
