Interesting car for ~£6k

This is your first car isn't it? Well other than the Omega which lasted for less than a week before you wrote it off a few years back. Perhaps it would be an idea to ease yourself back into driving?

Subaru impreza turbo! Theres not much better imo for price/performance. I love mine and have never regretted buying one.6k would get you a low mileage minter. They handle great, look great(classics) are reliable and perform well with a lot of scope for tuning relatively cheaply. They also have a great unique sound and you even get fellow owners waving to you when they drive past:D

I've been driving the Vectra regularly so that's not an issue, only thing would be insurance cost so i'm going to have a lookie at all these now and their respective premiums

That was never for me though?

I have seen some westfields floating around on PH for around that marker too, although I'm really liking the looks of some 172 cups.......

Also anyone know of any good insurers for young people? NUD don't seem to like to quote me even for a 172

does the 6k include the insurance? have you got money aside to take care of things thatll go wrong
Yep insurance is separate and ongoing costs are fine. £6k is just a rough figure of how much I would be willing to spend on the actual car.

Admiral so far

172 cup - £1110 fc
imported wrx sti - £2440 fc
uk turbo impreza - £2085 fc
integra type r - £1077 fc

Thats with me as main driver and adding my dad brings down each quote a few hundred. £1k was about the price I wanted to pay for insurance and the Teg Type R looks a lot more appealing now too.

astra sri 2.0 turbo - £822 fc
astra coupe 2.0 turbo - £994 fc
vectra 2.6 v6 gsi - £1085 fc
mk2 golf gti - £684 fc
e36 m3 - £2264 fc
focus st170 - £1110 fc
