Yeah def. buy a extended warrenty if you've got the money

Wouldn't bother to be honest with you, most issues are red ring of death and that warranty's been extended to 3 years anyway.

but in my leaflet it says
"if u always bought from [shop] or online from [shop] it may not be too late to take out cover"
"..30 days from date of purchasing to take out insurance, providing items not damaged."
then theres a number to contact

Why pay for an extended warranty when you now get 3 years warranty as standard?
So you don't need to pay a penny extra and you get 1 years warranty to cover any problems, and 3 years cover against the red rings (which is by far the most common failure).

1 year standard warranty, 3 years specifically for red rings.
I'd guess he didn't mention this as he wanted the sale.
what else could fail apart from red rings?
Next most common is disc read error, but that should happen well within a year if it does happen.
Think drive can but chances are slim..
