I believe he can do some serious damage in the heavyweight division when he moves up it's a weak division anyway and he'll be fighting at a more natural weight for him, his power and speed could bring him a world title sooner rather than later.
Having said that wouldn't it be great if Warren and Maloney could sort something out and get Haye and Enzo to lock horns in a domestic world unification slug fest![]()
I'm struggling to stay awake for this. Hope it's soon.any idea when the cotto-mosley fight will start? i know the thing starts at 3 on setanta, but will there be undercard fights?
Haven't seen many back Cotto, so I'm going to say Cotto to win just to go against type.![]()
Hadn't even checked the betting odds. The number of people I saw back Mosley for the fight was far greater than those I saw back Cotto, which is what I meant by going against type. I fancied Cotto to win anyway, take it he did?You do realise that Cotto was the betting favourite for this fight?
I know, their pronunciations are strange. Well, I went for Mosley on points but didn't see Cotto holding up this well against the bigger man. Perhaps Mosley didn't plant himself and landed as heavily as he could/should but it sure looked like he did.I've only just watched the fight, as I fell asleep.
A good fight, with Cotto deserving the win by a couple of rounds and a fight with Mayweather/Hatton would be very interesting.
One thing that annoyed me though, was the commentator calling him Codo all the time.![]()

Can't say I heard that
I was struggling to stay awake so probably wasn't paying much attention to the commentators.
I did doze off half way through the Casamayor fight but I don't think I missed much there.
On the subject of commentary, I thought the commentators for the Haye fight were useless! Loved the "An intentional headbutt is different from an accidental headbutt" or something along those lines.
Just got back from the Haye fight. My first live boxing, though I now think it won't be my lastMy friend had a spare ringside VIP ticket and offered it to me for free.
The French crowd were really up for it last night, Brits were totally outnumbered but the noise we made when Haye put him down more than made up for our small number. I managed to shout myself horse during the last round. A good night out.
Oh, and Paris Saint-Germain were staying in our hotel as well, didn't recognise any of them but the locals certainly did.
Jones Jr to fight Felix Trinindad early 08.
Anyone up seeing this fight, just for the names involved. Can't help but think it's a little pointless seeing Jones Jr so far past his best though.
The fight will be at "170lbs or less"
