Hi All,

My 5 week old card I recently purchased through OC has just died, this has previously been working without issue in my Abit AW9d-Max, the motherboard starting halting at Post code 26 or 2b on boot, tried all the RAm i.e. removed and changed slots, reset CMOS etc but no joy, made sure the CPU was seated correctly etc.

I have found that error 2b is usually due to Video card BIOS init, I assuming their may be an issues with the BIOS or soemthing on this card.

The card appeared to be getting power as the fans were spinning up on it however I did smell a burning smell. I tried the usual 2 * PCI-e, 1 pci-e and the 8->6 PCI-e converts, also tried the Molex connectors.

Anyway after testing everything else appeared okay I went to that awful PC retail store and managed to pick up Nvidia 7100 PCI-E card for £24, this allowed me to test and the PC powered up straight away.

To cut to the chase what's the best procedure to get this RMA'd , is it through overclockers or BFG and what tends to be the turn around.

Just got CoD4 the other day and was looking forward to playing it ;o((((

Cheers, first time I've ever had a graphics card fail on me after many years of gaming

Unlucky!, you buy a gtx, then the gt comes out and it doen't even have the common courtesy to give you many years happy service content in the knowledge it's just that little bit faster than the gt.
What a Bugger!

ha ha, yep that's the luck of the draw though.

If I would have known the Gt was on the horizon I would have waited but I'm hapy with the GTX well will be when I get it back working ;o))))))

I'd normally say go back via the retailer, but in this case, and as it's a BFG, it will probably be quicker to go through BFG's excellent RMA service.

I recently sent a 7600GT in to them, and I had a replacement within a week. It'll probably be quicker than sending it back via the shop as they'll only be sending it back to BFG on your behalf, unless they'll ship from their own stock.

Cheers guys, I've raised an RMA form through Overclockers and BFG.

Will keep those interested posted on how I get on with it, hopefully the additional money I payed for a reliable manufactuer and a good retailer should yield good results ;)

Gutted I can't play CoD 4 until this comes back, time to catch up on some 360 games I think.

Hi there

BFG and EVGA offer a direct warranty service because they can provide a faster turn-around themselves been the manufacturer. OcUK can sort this but BFG can do so quicker as their warranty is very good.

Cheers Gibbo, raised with BFG. Very impressed with their service so far.

Raised last night and within an hour I had an RMA - That's amazing for a Sudnay night, the card is on it's way back as we speak so should hopefully reach BFG tomorrow.

WOWWWWW - Got my card back already

Amazed out how fast BFG were on returns,

1) E-mailed them on Sunday, got an RMA on Sunday

2) Sent card on Monday and it got to Wales yesterday

3) working from home today and got a knock at the door and it's here, AMAZING. Best CS I think I've ver had.

4) PLugged it in and it work perfectly!!!!!

Yep, I'm gobsmacked.

Will be dropping BFG customer services e-mail a thank you later, you only tend to hear when things go badly hence why I thought I would post my GOOD expereince on BFG.
