Hogan Knows Best!! .... sellout

Apparently he turned down the chance to endorse a fat reducing grill, which was promptly snapped up by George Foreman. He missed out on some serious cash there!

He did.

He missed the phone call apparently and got offered some Juicer instead - ROFL.

EDIT:

In an interview on the Tonight Show, Hogan claimed that the George Foreman Grill was originally offered to him, but he failed to respond in time, thus allowing Foreman to use his endorsement. This was backed up by an episode of Hogan Knows Best, in which his wife Linda and the family are worried about Hogan's wrestling career and plead with him to take up a career in marketing.[37] Hulk explains about turning down the Foreman grill, and his choice to invest in a shake-mixer instead, saying that whenever he thinks about investing in something "big", he thinks about what happened with the grill and the shake-mixer. However, he has since endorsed a similar product known as "The Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill". He also has an energy drink, Hogan Energy, distributed by Socko Energy. It was featured in an episode of Hogan Knows Best.

Finer points of philosophy tend to bypass me monday morning. It has to be said, I thought they'd bypass the OP too ;)

To be brutally honest, I believe you are having one of those brilliant thick Monday morning moments....

Nothing gets past Bengaboy matey.

Well, 10-4 on that... :D

Please say you are being Sarcastic?

Apart from being selfish, Hogan has done NOTHING for Professional Wrestling.

Right place, Right time.

Cmon, thats being a bit harsh - Im 17, so I missed the Hulk Hogan glory years, but surely wrestling wouldn't be the big thing it is today without him?

When you say right place , right time - Im thinking you mean when Andre the Giant "passed the torch" onto him?

He did.

Vince McMahon was set on taking a different direction with the family business anyway after he purchased it from his Dad.

If it wasn't Hogan, it could easily have been someone else.

They guy has pulled too many stunts in his career that I really dont like him.. Im sure he doesnt loose sleep over what I think though :)

The reason for that BS title change was because before Wrestlemania, hogan refused to drop the belt to Bret. They then expected Bret to rollover and drop the belt to Hogan so Bret told them to get stuffed, hence why the loss and quick title change.

He and Vince held back MANY talented guys.

I agree with Gilly, made no sense (although I got what you meant) and I don't understand why you have put LOL at the end.

Would you care to expand on that mate, why would they hold back some wrestlers? Not saying your wrong, its only because im too young to know :)

Hulk Hogan's Ultimate Grill BROTHER!

I caught the episode where Hogan's daughter brought her boyfriend round to meet her parents. The poor lad crapped himself when he saw Hulk.

You think Hogan Knows Best is bad ?

You need to watch " Living on the edge " << Its on MTV.

HOW RUBBISH IS THIS !! Its like filming your friends going round to places.. its soo annoying.

Hulk Hogan is a sell-out for endorsing product rather than for appearing in a kids soap opera that pretends to be a sport? :p

Because Vince believed he knew what the audiences wanted to see.

He had a hugely marketable man in Hulk Hogan, yet at that time Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and I'd also say Scott Hall (Razor Ramon) (more so around WM10 for Hall) we're quickly becoming extremely popular.

Hogan was looking like he was leaving the company (again) and Vince figured the only way to keep him and his fans was to give him the title. Many people think Hogan actually forced Vince to give him the title that night and was threatening to pull a no-show and walk from the company again.

Hogan left the WWF a few months later... then resurfaced in WCW.

Nowadays the WWF/WWE is infamous for having a glass ceiling which is incredibly hard to break through for young emerging talent.
