University questionnaire, please help - very short!!

1) No - only really use the train once a month
2) No - walk to work anyway however even if I drove there it would still be a "no".
3) Nothing to add that hasn't already been said

1) No, more like once a month
2) Yes
3) Compared to other countries its terrible. Driving in france for example is ten times better, the roads seem better in design and less busy (probably due to all the tolls i 'spose)

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. At the time I travel in my area road traffic is largely parents on school runs, during school term my journey time is 20mins, on school holidays it is less than 5 minutes.

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Absolutely shocking! Especially when you look into how much revenue is paid towards it in the form of road tax, petrol tax, council tax et al.

1) No
2) Yes, but consider might be all I would do.
3) Not too bad, obviously rush hours are slow, what I really have an issue with is the school run, get caught in this and you are in for a tremendously slow drive, enough to drive anyone to road rage.

Can't agree more mate.

I would also like to see a motorway/consistent dual carriage way run along the south coast. It's a nightmare getting from the South West (basically Exeter down) to the likes of Bournemouth/Weymouth/Southampton/Portsmouth.

Panzer

1) no
2) um I work from home so its pretty pointless car pooling
3) not too bad where I live (village), although it does depend on where you are, my local town is a pain to get in and out of at peak times especially leading upto holidays.

1) No
2) No
3) rubbish, poor road design and layout. backed up with train companies who only want long distance passengers between city centre train stations. We need better roads combined with reopening and increasing train stations and routes, rather than speed.

1) Yes.

2) Yes.

3) I find it poor, I have nothing to compare it by though. The state of public transport doesn't help.

1. No
2. Yes (but only if I knew them.. or they were female ;))
3. Pretty bad, bus lanes seem to cause havoc around here - they could just have a dual carriageway instead, it would probably clear the traffic much quicker too. They've recently put a bus lane in and reduced the speed limit from 40 to 30 mph for no reason - it's a straight road :(.

1)Do you take public transport regularly, i.e. more than once per week?

2)Would you ever consider car pooling to get to work?

3)What do you think about traffic conditions in the UK? (One to two sentence answer)

1) Yes - to elaborate (though not needed I'm sure) I use the NET tram and NCT buses daily.

2)Yes

3)Not too bad in and around the centre of Nottingham and the QMC/University park. It can be a little challenging during rush hour but unfortunately that's to be expected in a city centre.

1.no
2.yes
3.public transport isnt really a feasable option most of the time for me, its just plain too expensive for such a bad service in a lot of places.

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Too Many examples of horrendous driving, too many people in cars to large for them to control (4x4) , Congested.
