got myself a Silverstone TJ09 ariving tomorrow  and I am thinking of replacing the stock fans to some nice and quiet, but still pushy fans.

Read a lot of good things about the Yate loons 120 SL and ML,

Pros: Cheap ( around £4 each)
Cons ?? (Never used them before, anyone comment ?)

Akasa Ultra Quiet:
Pros: meant to be really quiet whilst maintaining CFM

Cons: Cost....nearly £12 each...Ouch

Thing is the TJ09 has around 5 internal fans....that could cost big bucks if I go the Akasa route.

Any advice as always appreciated.

I have both of these, the Yate Loon is by far the better fan. Basically the same airflow with a lot less motor/general noise.

And you can get them with blue LEDs or if you look around you can find really nice looking black/white Nexus fans for under £6 each which are nearly silent and have decent airflow (they're basically the Yate Loon running at 1000RPM). Another bonus is you get rubber mounting grommets with the Nexus.

You can see the blue LED yate and the black/white nexus in this pic(graphics and rad). :)

hmmm, cheers, which Yate loon to go for ?

I am thinking one of these:

Yate Loon Low Speed Fan: D12SL-12Specifications:
Operating Temp: -10 - 65°C
Model: D12SM-12
Rated Voltage: 12V
Operating Voltage Range: 6.5 ~ 13.8V
Rated Current: 0.30A
Thickness: 25mm
Rated Speed: 1300 RPM ± 10%
Max Air Flow: 47 CFM
Sound Level: 28 dB

For inbetween the HDD cages.

Then buy 3 or 4 of these:
Yate Loon Medium Speed Fan: D12SM-12
Specifications:
Operating Temp: -10 - 65°C
Model: D12SM-12
Rated Voltage: 12V
Operating Voltage Range: 6.5 ~ 13.8V
Rated Current: 0.30A
Thickness: 25mm
Rated Speed: 1650 RPM ± 10%
Max Air Flow: 70.5 CFM
Sound Level: 33 dB

for the rest of the case??

ooo, Blue LEd version.....where, where ??

I would just stick to the D12SL throughout to keep noise down.

Just Google Yate Loon on UK only and it shouldn't be hard to find where I bought mine.

Yeah, that's a good review... I also have an aerocool turbine 1000 which is a very good fan if slightly noisier than my Nexus 120mm.

The only other fan apart from the aerocool that comes close to the Nexus in terms of performance/noise is the Globalwin 1202512L and I have no idea if you can buy them in the UK.

Yate loon > Akasa Amber by miles.
Didn't believe it when I first heard that, but oh boy is it true.

Different class of fan.

just what i want to hear...no punn intended :) Just ordered a single blue LED yate Loon 120mm fan (for near the window) and 3 regular 120mm D12SM-12 's should do the trick. Cheers guys ;)
