How much RAM is worth getting for a single core 3.2ghz with a 7600GT?

Hey, I have an Intel 3.2Ghz. single core pentium 4, with an NVidia 7600GT I upgraded to just before summer.

I currently have 1 gig of DDR400 MHz ram, am I right in thinking its definitely my weakest link, and well worth upgrading?

If so, by how much?

I was looking at

OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit

1066MHz RAM Speed, CAS 5-5-5-15 Timings, 2.0-2.3v VDIMM, 1yr Warranty with OcUK.

But if you think it would be worth spending more for better performance Id do it, but is there only so much worth getting with a single core processor and a decent graphics card?

Running XP btw
Opinions appreciated!

id say your weakest link was your GPU, get a 1950pro

my board takes DDr2 RAM, the graphics card is gainward overclocked, that cant be bad surely?

7600GT's are slow mate sorry it doesnt matter how high you clock it or who made it, an X1950pro would destroy it in benchmarks...

You say you have DDR1, but then you say you can use DDR2, they dont fit in the same slots, unless you have a mobo that takes both DDR1 and DDR2,only 2 of the slots will be DDR1 and the other 2 will be DDR2, and you cant have both ddr1 and 2 in the same board at once, what motherboard do you have?

What motherboad? I went from 1gb to 2gb on my old AGP system and it made a lot of difference! Also went from a 6600gt to a 7900GS.

I have an Intel 915P/G, is that the processor or board? I think the board might be MSI?

It is about two years old, I had a 6600GT until just before summer when I got the 7600GT, that made a big difference, I just tested Bioshock with my new RAM and it is definitely much smoother and more solid, feels a lot nicer, generally feel like I have a solid setup for a while longer.
