Everytime I type a sentence, paragraph, page, whatever I have to go back through it to replace the semi colons with apstrophe's! I've been doing this for years now. Example: "I;ve" I always hit the bloody semi colon key rather than the apostrophe. Its driving me crazy! I'm a quick typer, almost at the touch typist stage now, but this is really starting to grind my gears!!! Anybody else do this/done this in the past and have any ideas how to stop it!

PS I probably sound crazy. I am.

Much love.

I have a couple of similar persistant keying mistakes although not as bad.

The main one is typing "forst" whenever I'm trying to type "first", never worked out why it happens.

Bad habits, much like stopping smoking id imagine. Try swapping the keys oever, or set the keys up differently using a program?

Just look at what you're typing, doesn't actually make a difference really.

I can touch type almost perfectly, but I choose not to as I'm bound to make the odd mistake less often if I'm actually looking at the keyboard.

I sometimes end up typing stuff like can#t instead of can't.

It's because my fingers hate me I think.

Even if i look at the keyboard it happen;s << see it happened just then (i realise it doesn;t need an apostophe, oh **** i did it again...) I might try the keyboard mapping thing just to stop the annoyance but this won;t (and again) help the problem solve itself :\

?

No, because the ` symbol is the other side of the keyboard from '

I only use ` because of IRC and the fact someone else had already taken divine on it's own.

I wasn't implying it should've been "divine'" because that'd make no sense either, was just pulling your leg :p

Just look at the keys your pressing

I hate it when people don't bother to replace the ; with ', it's just lazy and makes them look like a tit.

I do bother! But i don't want to have to do it EVERY time! Like in this post. It never used to be a problem :(
