I removed the ring wires and finally got a sync of 8128 :D

Dunno what my SnR ratio is don't have telnet on OS X as far as I know.

Any ideas why im getting 350/360kb/s downloads?

Do I do this on the Master socket in the lounge or just the socket the Modem/Router is plugged in to, or the extension the extension socket the router is plugged in to??....

Speedtests online are usually single threaded, which means they only have one stream download. They can't really be relied on to give you an accurate score of your bandwidth. Try using a download manager to split something into 10 or so, and see how fast it downloads.

A download manager won't give your IP profile though, which is the whole point of running the BT Speedtest.

Simian: at the master socket.

Ooo.. Getting 2860kbps down and 380kbps up Now... was getting 2120kbps down and 350kbps up... So its a bit of an improvement!.. :( Even BT recon my line won't go over 2.6Mb, I'm 1.2Km from my exchange!...

Luckily TalkTalk (yes I know!) give me my broadband for Free, so I can't realy complain!...

if you only have a minor ip profile drop that will take 4-6 hours for it to raise on its own providing you dont keep rebooting your router. however if you have had a major ip profile drop then you will have to leave your router on for the next 5 days just to allow stabalisation then your profile will rais.

Who is your IPS Concorde? If your with a Entanet reseller you won't see faster than that this time of day. My downloads are topping off at 200KB/s now, was getting the full 700 odd earlier.

Oh how I miss Zen's speed, certainly don't miss there allowences though.
