Gigabyte N650SLI-DS4L, too good to be true?

I am not advertising these things (and I very much hope to buy one of the remaining 8 tomorrow morning), but at £66 I must be missing something. They overclock well enough (so i hear), they support FSB1333 and quad core cpus, have above average sound and they have dual PCI-e x16 lanes for SLi. They seem ideal for someone wanting to overclock a Q6600 and run a pair of 8800gts in SLi. I just find it hard to believe that one motherboard can do all that for £66.

EDIT: If I find they've sold out tomorrow or doubled in price as a result of this thread, I will not be happy.

Ah, well, that makes a lot of difference if it's true. But the description says:

-'...the GA-N650SLI-DS4L is SLI enabled with dual PCI Express x16 connectivity...'

And that exact phrase 'dual PCI-express x16' is exactly what other SLi motherboards with the 680i chipset say, like the Abit IN9 32X-MAX. Are you absolutely sure all 650i motherboards are only dual PCI-e x8 lanes?

Well in that case i will just slink offer grumblimg words about false advertising.......

Still, it looks like a decent board regardless. Any idea what impact 8 lane SLi has on a pair of 8800gts?

I've had a search around, and can't find anything that details performance differences, but I did find one site mentioned it would be 'noticeable' on anything 8800gts and above, as all the bandwidth of the PCI-E bus would be used.

On 7900GTX's, it's supposed to be about 5% less performance than an X16 SLi board, so I'm guessing it's a bit more on an 8800GT?

I've actually got the board you mention, and I'm planning on getting another 8800GT as soon as they're back in stock, so I'll let you know what the performance difference is as soon as I get my hands on one.

Good board though, especially at the price, and it seems stable so far, even whilst overclocking etc.

Currently 1440 x 900, but upgrading my monitor shortly, so it'll be 1680 x 1050 with the sli setup, unless I can find a decent 24" monitor for the right price.

I think folks with 2 x 8800GTS 320MB are reporting about a 10% drop in performance vs a dual X16 sli board, so it's probably not worth worrying about.

EDIT: Just noticed you've replied to one of the posts I was referring to (WJA96's experience), and with your resolution you might notice things a bit more. Another £100 for an sli 680i board is quite a lot though. Having said that, sli has never been cheap, and if you're going to do it, I suppose it's worth doing it properly!! :)
