I like most of the previous inCARnations but was a little disappointed with the demo of this one.

I think I will give this one a chance once its out.

This is not an official thread or anything, just a ramble.:D
 
i didnt get on to well with the demo just felt a bit arcadey, my favourite parts of NFS games is racing round the streets doing what i wanna do wether its annoy the police and start a massive chase and try and lose them or just cruise around.

but in the new one that part is lost its just race after race after race, which is a little dissapointing, but i guess they have to change the game a bit.

i most likely wont be buying this as atm there are a lot of other games coming out which are taking my notice more.
 
tried the demo last night....its not bad and quite pretty

but did it remind anyone of Ultimate Race Pro? maybe its the track and background deisgn lol

:( that was the fun part of the other games. being able to drive to races and to shops.

I agree with that part, but i'm not going to judge a game on it's demo. I will probably rent this for 360 (as there's no "rent" option for PC games).
 
Most reviews have called it a "disappointing effort" and it's go around 6-7

Though like you said maybe a rent, nothing more for now :)
 
Sucks. the game drifts and practically races for you, no skill required.. unlike live for speed on the other hand :)

Well if you think about it this is like what.... the 10th installment of the NFS franchise? That in itself is a big achievement. It's hard to keep everyone happy after so many releases and they do eventually run out of idea.

The best one is Most Wanted IMO.

SIMULATION!!!!! Oh come on, it's hardly GTR2 or RBR is it? Just cos it doesn't handle on rails doesn't make it a sim. Carp demo, handling terrible, graphics kinda pretty but unrealistic somehow. Big disappointment imo.
 
I do agree most wanted was the best. Carbon I never bothered to finish, just got too bored with it. A big mis step if this one does not feature being able to drive to the locations, that was half the fun!
 
Yeah I agree the demo is quite poor, only 1 race? Only 1 car? I mean c'mon they must be able to do better than that, doubt it's convincing a lot of people to buy it either.

And I mean, what happend to the whole street racing theme :S
