She received a punishment for breaking a law in her country. Yeah it's extreme, but the law is the law. It's a strict country with strict religious beliefs.

I know I sound a bit heartless, but, it's their law whether it's humane or not.

Yes she was raped, but she also broke the law herself. Pretty clear-cut, I'd say.

If a woman got raped over here having just committed a burglary would you let her off the burglary?

They aren't all savages but the justice system here could certainly do with a bit of civilising, or do you think it is OK to whip someone for the horrendous crime of being in a car with someone?
