Calories in brown rice?

Brown rice is lower GI. It's a better source of fibre. Cup of white rice has about 1g of fibre - brown has about 3.5g

You should avoid white things - bread, pasta, rice, sugar.

I disagree. White carbs have their place in a balanced diet. To cut something out completely is wrong imo.

One example of a good time to eat white carbs is immediately after a gym session or other physical activity (along with some protein as well).
