The Official Assassin's Creed Thread

Wow what an awesome game,. the graphics on this really have taken my breath away. Granted i havent really even started, i had to pop out but got to the bit where the guy is talking to you at the start lol. But so far the graphics are simply mind blowing, i dont think any 360 game as of yet comes close to this so far.

Havent had a chance to start any real playing so cant comment on gameplay but my jaw dropped open within the first 5 mins of the game...amazing, simply amazing.

Why does everyone like Jade, sure shes a gamer I guess or producer whichever but shes not exactley a keira knightley or anything :p

i guess instead of 'sex sells' it's 'jade sells'

I just think it's much better than what some reviewers have said and I'm really enjoying it so far. I just can't understand how it was given a 6.7 on one site.
 
Add em to the amazed list. Only played the game for about 2 hours but so far its been brilliant. I can see this being my game of the year depending on how Mass Effect is. Based on 2 hours play I'd give it 9.5/10, perhaps the best 360 game yet.

I love this game. I just figured out you can use the throwing knives in sword fights so I've been twirling this little knife around like Steven Segal slitting throats. There is a particularly brutal counter where you stab the guy in the foot with the knife, and then while he's stunned whip up the knife and stab him through the throat. I'm surprised this game was not rated 18.

360> ps3 easily! PS3 looks more washed out, faded. And possibly a bit more tear on the screen as well.
360 version looks more defined and clearer....almost like its in a different resolution??

was it co-developed on both consoles or ported from 360 to ps3?

lol I don't see any difference at all, other than the guy on the PS3 version needs to sort his contrast out.

Loving it too but after doing more than one assassination it does get repetitive. You do the same pickpocketing, eavesdropping, etc sub missions before making the kill. Rinse and repeat. The scenarios of the assassinations do change and the story itself is pretty good. I suppose you could argue GTA was repetitive but it's more so with AC. The reviews generally say the same thing.. well the negative ones do. Still a good game in my book though :)

Ah just seen this comic plastered over the net. Basically it describes Jade Raymond basically whoring herself out so people buy the game.

It's an interesting topic, despite the crass-ness of the comic. Do you think that Ubisoft or the PR company or whoever made a concious decision to push Jade into the spotlight simply because she is a woman and has norks and they thought it would help sell copies?
