The Official Assassin's Creed Thread

The draw distance on the game is obscene and everywhere you see can be reached. I prefer stalking guards and killing beggars :D
It's pretty much GTA in the old days :D Guards are cops who get alerted, cars are horsies, beggars are hookers, and you die when you go in water :p

I'm beginning to like the plot, the chat's you have with your victims after they are dead are odd but compelling. The level of detail on the characters is high.

The cities are intricate, enormous and beautiful.

Oh and I have yet to see the AI be as embarrassing as in those videos the other day.

Yeah i get attacked from all over the place when in a fight lol. im onto my 4th assasination now. its pretty cool :D

Can You slip and fall and die when climbing up walls? :D

Guards will shoot arrows and throw rocks when you're climbing to knock you down. You can only actually fall and die if they hit you and knock you off a wall or you make a bad jump but you won't actually just slip and fall.

You have to fall a really long way to actually die though.

I'm a terrible thief, I get caught pickpocketing every time. :o

Is there a certain way to get get away with it? I usually try walking slowly behind the target and then going for it, except they catch me near enough every time.

I just hold down B whilst walking.

Best thing to do is wait till they stop to look around then try :)

And yes experience :( killed about 10 guards, ran halfway across the city, climb lookout tower thingy, dive left :(

Has anyone here had lockups or crashes? I haven't. Those two links were the first I'd heard about it.

Inoshishi, you're not ElRazur re-incarnated are you?

Anyone else feel sick in the hospital when the guy I'm after orders the guards to break a patients legs?

Eurgh!
