ballpark 8800gt 3dmark scores...

Just picked up my 8800gt today.

Did some quick benching (rig in sig) with the card overclocked at 700, 1678 and 2000 (on stock cooling)

Managed to get a 14123 in 3dmark06 (thats on vista 64)

Is that about right?

thanks for the info. Wasn't sure if those scores were with xp or vista. Gonna give the card a good workout when my S1 arrives.

I am quite happy to be the top scoring AMD rig with a single card, vista64 as well, I got that score with the 169.04 drivers, the 169.09 drivers are about 200 points slower on my system.

Tbh I didn't. Just wanted to make sure i wasn't having any issues. 3dmark06 is useless for graphics card cross comparison. The 2900xt consistently scored better than the GTX...we all know that didin't translate into acutal framerates.

Wanted to know how I faired against the other 8800gt's (and the kind gentlement above indulged me).

Woot! just hit 14,775 on 3dmark06. The card overclocks nicely

756 / 1728 / 2100.

Just need to get my hands on my S1.

Prob the best value gfx card ever!

I'd be extremely careful at those clocks, people've reported deaths at 2000+ memory speed.
