MM? Whats that?
OcUK Members' Market, you can't see them untill you have a certain number of posts I think.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
MM? Whats that?
There will be a G92 GTXcoming also.
ON MM they cannot shift for 220.
That tells you something.
i sold my GTX 10 days ago for 260 because it was starting to struggle @ 1920x1200 and i'll probably grab 2 GT's when they come back into stock for about £300 once the prices stabilizes to their true mark, which will be a pretty big jump over the GTX on most titles.
it wouldn't be a bad move for you but imo 250 is a little high, in a few weeks you'll be able to pick them up for less than 200 2nd hand.
I remember you saying that you wanted to stick with the intel chipset.
And Crossfire some 38xx series cards
Changed your mind?![]()
it's changing like the wind easy
one day i'm up for xfire and the next it's sli, my mind says wait for the GT's but i'm impatient w.out a gpu right now and i've never done xfire before.
plus i'd really prefer x38 (and would like to try the maximus board) to a 680i also, but i know the GT's would kick the 3870's around the block![]()
Yes,
Thats why offering advice about getting a GTX is the wrong thing to do.
This is bad advice.
The new GTS is coming very soon killing the GTX off.
Maybe do some research before you post.
The OP nearly wasted 250 big ones on dying tech.
I told you that,
But you flamed me for it.![]()
isnt this the new GTS

i thought "Don't see the point in this card at all" was the general response

Why is no one waiting for 9800. Im waiting to win the lottery first sure but still surprised no one has mentioned it, is it far away still yet?
what did you tell me?
i don't remember flaming you for anything lately![]()
I told you that 8800 GT was the way to go initially.
I was right all along and now you agree with me.

Well I decided not to buy the GTX in the end and boy am I glad I didnt. Been following some auctions on a certain site today and it seems the used GPU market is in free fall at the moment. These new cards from ATI and Nvidia have stirred everything up. Im gonna hold onto my cash, stick with my trusty X1900 and see what develops over the next few weeks before commiting to a card.
It's at least 3+ months away... still plenty of time to be upgrading to a GT and getting good use out of it.
