HD 2600/HD 2400

What the hell  . The only reason Id buy one is for a HTPC to use the HDMI dongle yet it dosnt come with one and no clear way to source one. Seems weird

i got my Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 today and it came with the DVI to HDMI adapter.

btw. this card is much faster than my old 1600xt + 1650pro in crossfire

Must only be the 2600 up that comes with the DVI adapter perhaps the 2400s dont have the crossover capabilities. Good news about the speed

i played Lost Planet Extreme Condition, settings on high and it was very smooth. only 1 problem is on the menu screen its like 1fps but i think thats the driver problem. because in the game its perfect.

Good to hear, better change your sig now :D

Anyone know if there are any benchmarks of these cards now with latest drivers, rather than the older ones which, tbh were poor on performance for the new HD series.

Just wondering as I'd like to see if these cards are now a little more competetive with the 8600GT and other cards around the same price. If the HD2600 is now faster than the x1650crossfire setup it fills me with hope these cards, like the 2900s are picking up steadily with improved driver releases.

As far as i'm aware All HD 2xxx can do audio and use the special DVI to HDMI adapter.

Also I have been trying to source one for a while and been making phone calls and not getting anywhere.

3 places I have seen it is ATI canada, ATI America and some obscure place in japan.

Does anybody know if it possible to flash the bios on a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO as ive heard that its basically a locked off XT?

Whoa thread resurrection! :D

And can't you just clock it up? As far as I know there are no differences apart from clockspeeds. If you really wanted to flash it I don't see the problem but why run the risk of a borked card?
