The Official Assassin's Creed Thread

Well its clear the game on ps3 crashes as ive seen the topics all over official forums and on ubisoft

dont bother me anyway i dont own ps3, never will.

being a 360 fanboy is the ****, welcome to the good life :]

Are the people saying this is repetitive after about an hour of play because of the reviews they've read? It sounds like it from what i am reading, it is like you are looking for it. Surely if its good, the repeat of a good thing is not a bad thing. I mean there are only 9 levels !

I've not read any reviews on this game, just what I know from the forums and the various videos that were around a few months back.

I've only played about 30 mins maybe. It hasn't got repetitive yet, but from learning the basics I just wonder how the game could have much variance later on.

I'm off to play some more and hopefully prove myself wrong !

Dont the PS3 version crash, tear and get artifacts?

*rubs 360*

Been playing for over an hour now on the PS3 and had no issues what so ever

The gameplay is excellent as and the graphics are looking very sweet on my 37" samsung @ 720p

P.S I wouldn't rub that 360 too much it may ring you to death :P

nah, i played *** game after reading only 10/10 and 9.5/10 reviews, then i said hang on something aint right here... it wouldnt be so bad if say the voice overs were different, but people say exactly the same thing when u rescue them or something every single time, just in a different accent.

As far as whether or not you like this game, I think a lot depends on how much of an achievement you think the world they have created is.

I can definately see the criticisms as well - there are really only 2 or 3 mission types (which usually play out in the same way), the combat is pretty easy too.

You could look at the flaws and think this is how games were 6 or 7 years ago. What is truly next gen is how you interact with the environment, and for me that is the real joy of the game. When I get bored of scaling the Jeruselum rooftops, the game will be over for me. I'm a while away from that at the moment though.

Well after playing it for most of last night, my opinion of the game is that its absolutely superb. Yes its a bit repetitive but i actually enjoy that unlike COD4 which left me wanting more. The game itself is very very long i find...but so far im loving it to bits. I love jumping/diving off the towers into the haystacks...gives me a good ole rush:p.
One thing i will say is that after Damascus the guards seem to get tougher to beat ie when saving citizens etc. But im going through all the missions ie trying to get each flag, find every tower...save all the citizens so this game isnt something your going to complete in say 10 hrs or so. This game is hugeeeeeeeeee...and the graphics on the 360 just completely utterly blow me away.
Ive been reading that the PS3 version is pants, people on ubisoft forums are complaining about random crashes and the graphics are tearing etc etc. One thing i have noticed with the 360 is that in some places it does slow down ie the framerate but otherwise what an awesome game. Didnt get off my 360 till about 5am this morning:p...thats how much it has me engrossed. Acre and Damascus look spot on...cant wait to get to Jerusalem to see what thats like but so far completely mind blown by this game.

Those reviewers that were slating the game just didnt appreciate the sheer vastness of this game...one of my fave games since ive had my 360..fair enough its repetitive theres no doubt about that ie the citizens you save more or less say the same thing over and over. Although one bit i liked in Acre is the beggars that come up to u and beg you for money...killed a few of them which didnt go down too well:p. There could be some minor improvements i suppose but at the moment id struggle to name them. Perhaps AC2 if it ever comes out could rectify some of the issues that people are having. But for me??, this game is spot on....just wish i didnt waste £40 on COD4 tbh.

I'm in Jeruselum now, it's a bit of a departure from the first city, a lot of greens. It's stunning when you first ride up and look over it.

I've seen many say the same thing, think most did end up dying though. I never quite understand people's blind faith that their 360 will not die, when so many others do.

There will be more assassin's creed game, it's the first in a 'franchise' apparently so the next game is going to be amazing if they take on the criticism of this one and improve on it.
