In a highly humorous 'lost in translation' episode at the times, it would appear a call for supportive messages to the Israeli football team (as if it would make a difference) has completely rubbed a particular russian sporting website up the wrong way. The badly spelt insults in the comments section are highly humorous.

So how is it they can play in the euro's and saudi can't ?

You can kind of register where you want for football, don't quote me on that. I think years ago they probably had the choice and chose the European setup which will probably include e.g. entries into the UEFA cup and Champ's League (if they got that far) on a domestic basis. (Why Russia isn't Asia I don't know considering more than half of it's not anywhere near Europe)..

Why they didn't choose Asia in terms of getting there international team far I don't know. Their qualifying opposition for e.g. the World Cup will be a lot easier. Iran sometimes are there, Japan, S Korea that's about it really..

Isreael plays in Euros as opposed to the middle east / africa, as Muslims view Israel as criminals. At the Athens olympics, the silver medal judo match was between an Israeli and an Iranian, and the Iranian refused to participate, as they don't recognize Israel as a nation.
