Anyone recommend anywhere for a rolling road tune?

Hi,

Well now I have my base power readout from RR yesterday. Think it is time to get the car rolling road tuned. Does anyone know/or recommend a place that does carbs and if possible can jet carb needles? Preferably as close to Coventry as possible but don't mind travelling too far.

Ring Mark at Jigsaw, he knew of someone who was well set up for this.

Ahh forgot you said to ring Mark! Will do this on Monday, doubt he is around on a Sunday.

Lewis, I am going to get myself a new number 1 ht lead so timing guns work on it I think. Plus I will check my points etc and swap them if I need to.

Just swap the leads around. I'd pull the plugs and have a look, as I think you're running very rich, especially on the choke.

Put the standard airbox/filter/needles back in for the meantime if you've still got them, you'd probably find it'll make a world of difference.

Not sure whether number 2 lead will reach all fine as they are different lengths. If not, what do you suggest?

If I am running too rich then surely putting old airbox/filter back on will make even richer? I haven't changed my needles, always had the rich BBT needles on my car you see.
