Not sure if this is the right place but....

Just hooked up my neighbous Laptop to their T.V for them through DVI (not sure what the TV spec is). I have an imageon both the TV and monitor when I turn the laptop on, can see the desktop, internet etc. But when I try to play a DVD i get an image on the Laptop monitor but not on the T.V. I have tried using WMP, VCL player, PoweDVD but all I get is a black screen with audio.

Can anyone help, I thought it was going to be a nice quick easy job!!

Cheers

Hayley ;)

In display properties set the LCD to the main screen aswell (make sure both boxes are ticked) hope that helps :)

Is that in the advanced options? Had a quick look in there earlier but didnt really know what I was looking for, its got ATI graphics and there were a lot of options in there!

I've given up for the night said I would do some research and try sort it tomorrow so can't check at the moment.

Thanks will let you know how I get on :)

EDIT: Lol just seen the pic it didn't load the first time, that should help a lot

All you need to do is tick the 'This is my main monitor' in display settings and it will sort the problem you are having.

Right click on the desktop select diplay properties and its in the monitor tab :)
