Finished Crysis in a day and a half

You weren't the only one to get that impression Mammalian.

It was over a little quick but an excellent game imo

But hey, you can never have too many posts saying the exact same thing one after the other which miss the point. This is a public forum after all ;)

Agree with Mammalian. Some people are right idiots on this forum and assume that someone is just boasting or they just like to be retards. Get a life.........

As for the game I too got it on Friday and completed it last night. Ended a little abruptly for me. I was half expecting to fly off back to the island to help the Major when the credits came up and I was like WTF?!?!?! Superb game with stunning vistas but went slow as you like in the snow storm. Gonna check out the multiplayer from tonight and really hope to find at least one or two island maps. Don't want to see all big open desert ones. That gorge when they find that ship would be a great place for ambushing.

Why do we care if he has finnished the game, you dont see me starting a thread everytime i finnish a game.
There is no reason this couldnt be posted in the official crysis thread.

Completely agree. The only people worse are those who ignore the signature rules!

well it took me 6 hours just to get to the second level :D, I would sometimes spend over an hour in the villages I came across slowly crawling around taking everyone out one by one, I don't normally play games this style but have been finding it fun.
Same here. I've been playing solid for 2 days (I had a weekend in total Crysis! :)) & that was mostly spent on the Recovery level & the level directly after it. I'm in no hurry to complete this & I'm savouring every moment. It's so good. I've not been into a game this much since the original Half Life. This is the best FPS ever IMO. Half Life 2 and the Episodes are excellent. But I've always thought they were to easy & the combat was a bit un-inspiring.

I do like it a lot - the guy I sit opposite at work completed it in 8 hours apparently - I can fully believe this as well.

I personally like to play through games at my own pace - I'm not a big gamer, in that I don't sit playing them for hours on end (I wouldn't be allowed anyway!!) so when a game like this comes along and is a treat to play every time, I don't want to rush through it!

I am enjoying the game immensly. I am a father of two so any playtime has to be done in short bursts so it will take me a week or two to complete. I am playing on Delta mode, but i am thinking of going down one level as it might make the game more interesting. I.E i will be able to run around a bit more and have proper fights rather than think about it too much which is what i am doing now. Also, if i complete in Delta there is not much incentive to go back and play it again.

Like a couple of you said, i wasnt boasting, i was trying to say what an excellent game it was.
I would have liked it to last longer but i couldnt stop playing it lol.
The only other FPS ive enjoyed to this level was doom 3

It's worth playing on a lower level imo. As I said in another thread I just spent too much time running away and not really enjoying it that much. Although I do like the lack of crosshair (I prety much always use sights anyway) and the korean voices (I'm sure they keep talking about Bill Oddie whenever they have to reload in english. I was on a tower once and one of the AI kept going "Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie" I think he was reloading after every shot or something :D) Will have to play around with the config files to make my own settings when I get round to playing it again.

without mentioning any spoilers for me, how far am in it.
Ive got to protect this other bloke while he helps the woman stuck in the dropship. Theres aliens all around me and im using a AA tank to destroy them.

Relatively close to the end I think. One more level after that one iirc. Possibly more depending on what you call a level

Nice of you to represent the rest of the forum community with your reply or was that the Royal "we"? Seems to have generated 2 pages of interest so far on the merits of the length of game content. Surely that is more than adequate to grace the thread of a PC Games forum?

Anyway. Cracking game, too short. Nuff said.

Yeah, we were only given half a game here. But I think that may have been EA saying "lets find a cut off point, then we will release the second half as a sequel and charge full game price and make twice as much money."
