rma'ing my P5K and im only gonna get about £70 back for it. So that's my budget for a new board.


Its old skool but i was thinking Gigabyte DS3?

what FSB did those old beauties get up to ?

any other suggestions?


also, no future proofing needed. Just needs to work with E2140 and my 4x1gb Geil value ram :)
 
I read one review on that board and it only got like 326 or something FSB.

Might just be worth the risk :) that would also give me some change for some new AC5 which i desperatly need!

You should either get a new P5K, or an equivalent value board, or the full invoice price back. Anything else and you should complain to Trading Standards. Some (r)etailers try and justify giving you a massively reduced sum back for your computer parts because you have 'used' them or that they only have to giove you current market price, but I would seriously bodyswerve any (r)etailer that tried that one as it's very dubious legally.
