So what are you getting the missus?

"just around the corner"

wtf?

It's TWO months away! Hardly just around the corner.

for me it's only 2 paydays away :( that means I can only get her 66% of the present I could have bought her if I'd started saving a month ago.

Monthly paychecks *****

well i've asked the other half for perfume, ugg boots (not real ones, £175, I DONT THINK SO) and earrings

whether he gets me these things i do not know

I originally said that I'd be getting her a half share in a plasma TV, but we went to a gallery at the weekend and now she's got a half share in a couple of paintings.

I hung them at the weekend and they look great, much better tham 1080p.

I've got tonnes of ideas, she'll probably end up with all of them and I'll end up [more] broke [than usual]

still, it's worth it for that cute little face!

I'm looking at Tiffany jewellry, do the womenfolk still like that stuff? I'm worrried it's passé.

I think that sort of thing's passé, but then I don't fit your quota of being part of the womenfolk demographic

to me it just reeks of, "I couldn't think of anything, so I spent loads to compensate"

I'm also worried that you're being sarcastic, and I'm being a fool!

My Mrs would love some Tiffany jewellry

Shes gonna be right ****ed when she opens the Argos bag and finds a necklace of a hologram eye
and a clown pendant

Me, sarcastic? I baulk at the prospect. *baulks*

It's a serious question, she's mad for silver and diamonds and Tiffany stuff fits the bill nicely, I don't know much about jewellry and they seem a fair bet if you want quality stuff that doesn't turn green and make you ill.:)

yeah, if she's into that sort of thing, then that's probably the way to go!
I like your lack of style.:D

ahhh, DonBot :D

Forgot to add, I'm rubbish at buying nice presents, even when I try really hard (like that time I wanted my [now ex] girlfriend and I to spend more time together [she had 4 kids and spent a lot of time at the sink], I bought her a dishwasher for her birthday), so I pretty much have to spend all my money to make up for this. :(

whats with all the stupid shes not your missus shes your gf posts earlier?
jjeeesus, i call my girlfriend wife and we're not even a year yet.. and i call her parents mum and sister sis.. some of you need to lighten up :o

I dunno *** to get mine, duno if we'll even make it to xmas now. If it improves i duno what ill get her, maybes christmas will make me happier about our relationship, it did with my ex and got us on the right track again.
Im pretty good at buying presents, but i just dont have a clue what to get her, i usually buy a few main presents and lots of little ones and do something silly with them.
One GF thought some crap id put with her presents from poundshop were actually proper presents(funny that, bright pink gloves, illuminous green scarf, and bright yellow TODDLER's dut) LOL.
I ended up stickin all her presents in a nike air max box(id been tellin her to get herself some air max for running in or i would!) because she was a fashion student and was a shoe freak, so she thought id actually got her a pair(size 11? well ay pet!) then on the top of the other presents inside there was a la-senza bag, so she thought she'd got lingerie, it had the crappy poundshop presents in, so she'd thought i went especially into the shop to get the bag, n thought it was funny, the lingerie was wrapped seperately at the bottom of the box =)

This year though, god knows. Not spending too much cos im not certain its gunna last v long, and im in final year of degree atm and shes really hit my bank account hard since we started dating.. Maybe ill buy her train ticket to go to her dance auditions in london and get us tickets to go to a show, she wants to go see that wicked thing.

^^^^ Hahahahah (oops not that one)

Breath*

Anyway, do you have anywhere up there like we have the Jewellry Quarter in Brum?

Somewhere where you can buy something nice and original that wont cost the earth?
A mate if mine bought his then fiance a platinum and diamond ring for 1/4 of what you would pay in the shops :)
