I've just completed the original FEAR. Took me over a year because I really don't have the stomach for horror games/films, plus the gameplay began to get quite boring.

*Spoilers*
At the end of the game you see Fettel get killed, and I'm not quite sure but one of the scenes suggest that you're the son of that ghost girl. In the very last scene, you're in the chopper getting away from the blast area, but the girl pops up and climbs into the chopper!

So I just want to know how the rest of the story unfolds in the expansion(s). Because I really can't handle playing them myself... Like who dies, what do you find out about Fettel and the ghost girl and what do you find out about the main character.

:D

Just a heads up here for if you have a widescreen monitor...

The first fear expansion pack (Extraction Point) does not support widescreen resolutions.. (as i found out after i installed it )

I don't know if the lastest one does...

The newest expansion got a pretty poor review from Bit-Tech. I really enjoyed the first game, but seems with the expansion, they just dragged it all out again rather than adding anything new and different to it. Shame really, here's hoping the 'sequel' remedies that.

Extraction Point was better graphics than F.E.A.R, yoiu can see that just running the Bench Tool.

Perseus Mandate, is not as good as any of them as not made by F.E.A.R makers, its jsut a money maker thrown together quickly.

Well I had Extraction Point maxed and I noticed hardly any difference between F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R XP yet there was such a large FPS drop from F.E.A.R.

P.M, looks very rough, some say its same as F.E.A.R, IMO its not, there is something wrong with the graphics and I have recently messed about with F.E.A.R and E.P again so its not as if I am used of better graphics from more recent games so spoiling P.M.

Its short so worth playing, then your set for what was to be F.E.A.R 2 (proper original makers), its called Project Origin.

The name was picked by running a competition for users to name the game, as of legal license reasons F.E.A.R 2 cant be used.

Correct, it was enhanced so you got a FPS Drop. :)

If your on LCD I can see why you would not see any difference ;)

If there is a graphics difference it should show up on any monitor..., they are not going to make improvements that can only be seen on a big bulky old CRT monitor.

Show me the differences because at the moment I see no difference and the only think done to the game is made unenhanced and runs slower for no reason.

I just meant it a joke, but LCD does look crap compaired to a good CRT, big and power hungry does not bother me over quality.

You want to argue about CRT v LCD then take it to the thread which exists in the monitor section.

I'm not arguing, but I see no difference between F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R XP.

I seen a diff in EP (slightly nicer) but not PM infact is worse, one part with big massibe oils/gas pipe looks liek its a retangle intead of round section as its do blocky.

FiringSquad: What can you tell us about any graphical improvements in Extraction Point?

Tim Hall: F.E.A.R. still looks great and we’ve added more blood and more things that explode – what more could you want?

Sp it must be bit more debris etc but its looks better to me and does slow FPS a bit from original. :)
