Anywhere nice to eat near Brixton Academy?

As title please! I'm going to a gig but want to meet some friends for dinner first.. i've had my eye on a mexican in Covent Garden but i think we'll be a bit pushed for time. So is there anywhere nice in Brixton or should we look at other places near?

The dog star in brixton does excellent mexican, can't beat it and it's a decent pub as well.

Sounds perfect to be honest! As long as it's not too loud in there? I havent seen these friend's for a while so dont want to be yelling over some crap music

Any other suggestions?

Not usually too loud at all, if it's a friday night it'll probably be very busy but thats the only downside..

There's a noodle bar just down the road from the academy, opposite the tube station. Very cheap, but surprisingly alright.

Edit: It's called Speedy Noodle!

Go there. I was about to suggest it too.

Leave the tube station, cross the road, and turn left and you will soon see it.
