I'm getting four new tyres Dunlop SP Sport 9000 for my C-Max. Previously it has had Continental Sport Contact and Bridgestone Turanza 300. Mileage is now 19000 so as you can see they don't last too long. Trying something totally different. Anyone got experience of them?

19k is more than double what I got from a set of Bridgestones in my old 728i.....

Had SP Sport 9000 on my Mondeo. Acceptable but not as good as the Eagle F1's which replaced them, which offered better wet weather performance and lower road noise.

acceptable, poor wet performance though (compared to eagles),
have them on the 330d, seem to be lasting forever though. need to burn em up to make way for some better tyres :D

Yep less than 10k per set of tyres. I remember my 1st car a Corsa with Michelin Energy tyres on it - they lasted 40k. I had just replaced all 4 tyres and then a couple weeks later wrote it off!!

I always get tyres from a mate who has a tyre/servicing garage (bridgestone partner) and he cannot get the Michelin Energy ones or I would consider them again - if you can even get them for in the size I need.

Would this time of year be a good time to invest in some Eagle F1s ?
Would they be completely useless in the event we got an inch or two of snow?

My current tyres are Michel Pilot Exaltos (I think) 225/40/R180... my last car had 175/65/R14 (I think)... haven't had it in snow yet. It's fine in the wet, but they've done 10k and although don't need replacing...might do soonish... don't want to be going around with "just because it's still legal" tread on if we're going to get some proper winter weather.
